Being a "Learner" is Being Responsible

I didnt want to add another blog to my webliography, but when it comes to reading about technology and education, I have found it most helpful and engaging to read the blogs of people in education and not the corporate sector. Through my blog search (ie the blogs I most often read) I stumbled upon this post on 2 Cents Worth by David Warlick. The article contemplates the issues that we, as classroom educators, struggle with on a daily basis, "How do we get the students to feel "tied to" or motivated to learn the material?" (enough to have authentic learning taking place). I also enjoyed his post on constructing meaning titled, "What is the Purpose of Education?"
