Socialization and Online Schools

I found this .pdf file while reading Scott McLeod's blog, Dangerously Irrelevant and, ironically, found it extremely relevant to my new position at school. We had been discussing learning environments on the discussion board for CSED 7763 and a classmate had brought up how difficult she though socialization would be for online learners. This .pdf explains the research done among students enrolled in online public school in grades 2, 4, and 6. The findings were quite interesting and would help make much anecdotal information more scientific in terms of actual results.
